OUR SERVICES
FIRE MITIGATION
Large scale or small scale, our fire mitigation services encompass holistic treatment of combustable fuels from the ground level to the crown. Forestwerx applies NFPA and Colorado State Forest Service Guidelines to harden property, structures and egress routes against the threat of wildland fire. We strive to enhance landscapes with our mitigation treatments, and can even combine recreational development into a mitigation plan, allowing you gain further enjoyment from your land while protecting your investment.
DEFENSIBLE SPACE
Following NFPA and Colorado State Forest Service home ignition zone guidelines, your insurance company’s needs, or the plan issued by your county forester, Forestwerx can execute on any defensible space plan. Unlike most contractors we provide full service defensible space installation, including mechanical brush removal and zone-1 non-combustible material installation.
Forestry Mulching and Land CLEARING
Are you building a new structure, cutting a new driveway, or opening new pasture on your property? Maybe you want to clear scrub oak, understory or deadfall from your property to make it more usable and fire resistant? Forestwerx specializes in the operation of boom mounted mastication and mechanical land clearing equipment designed for use in challenging terrain. From the application of mastication as a part of a mitigation project plan, to multi acre pasture clearing, Forestwerx is the mountain area’s premier local land clearing expert.
RECREATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Fire mitigation & recreational development, a match made in land management heaven. Have you ever considered that mitigation efforts could be molded into a sledding area or even a personal ski run? How about the creation of a mountain bike trail in your neighborhood as part of a fire break and fuel reduction project? Forestwerx specializes in design and creation of multi use environments from tip to trail.
